Lots of New "R-Us" Cards - 02/05/2010 01:53 PM: This chain store is really pumping them out, especially at Babies-R-Us. First up is one new BRU/TRU card, followed by two new TRU cards. I have recently uploaded these three cards, and have extras of all available for trade.

Re:Lots of New "R-Us" Cards - 02/05/2010 03:27 PMcan't... keep... up...
I'm still working on using my cards from Christmas. How do you guys do this? I must be missing some key organizational trick. Any thoughts?

Re:Lots of New "R-Us" Cards - 02/06/2010 04:41 AM: Debbie: "R-Us" stores sell collectors the cards for $1 apiece and accept purchases of new cards with old. I have never had a problem when asking to have the redeemed cards back. Bottom line: no trick, it's easy and fun. Sure, at any given time I have a sizeable investment in these cards, but they don't have an expiration date, so some day my heirs will redeem them for merchandise.

For many extra TRU and BRU check out my Picasa albums.
Thanks, Karen
p.s. Debbie - you can put $1.00 on the r Us cards - but not all the stores will let you buy a card with a card - just depends where you are. I've had no problem doing that at stores in Michigan and Tennessee but here at my local BRU they will not do it - the loss prevention manager says NO every time I try to do it . . . so as usual it just depends on the store and who you talk to. Re:A couple more New "R-Us" Cards - 02/08/2010 01:22 PMThey'll let you buy a card with a card here in Ft. Myers. Or it depends on who you ask. A day manager can say no but a night manager can say yes, they're not worth anything, so take them.

Re:A couple more New "R-Us" Cards - 02/09/2010 07:20 AMI went into my local Toys R Us for the first time here in Clearwater. I went through a long explanation to the cashier of what I wanted to do - buy 20 cards for $1, and then buy the next 20 with the first 20 and so on, and in the end load up the $20 onto a store merchandise credit. She listened to it all, reviewed it, and then said she had to check with the manager. She phoned him up, explained it all to him and came back with the answer: just take what I want!
I snagged two each of about 50 different designs - the first Toys R Us cards in my collection. They only had one of the new designs shown above. But I did find an older design that wasn't in the gallery!
